The company Ballet Actuel
offers several awareness activities
around its diffusion
Afternoon school performance - public rehearsal
1h30 sessions that aim at bringing
'the spectator' closer to 'the artist'
by making him aware of all 'side aspects'
(dancers' warm-up and training,
placement and artistic rehearsal,
visit of the wings, dressing-rooms
and technical control room)
and at favouring a concrete and sensitive approach
to the choreographic creation (presentation of 2
or 3 selected extracts from the ballet
followed by the choreographer's argumentation).
Each session ends with a question/answer exchange
with all artists and technicians.
Lecture-demonstration
1h30 sessions where the artists
go and meet "potential audiences".
These sessions require varied aids
(from videos to presentation
of ballet extracts by the company)
that depend on the possibilities of the venue.
They are more specifically centred on a concrete
and sensitive approach
to the choreographer's artistic proces
and aim at offering a few clues
to understand the author's personal gestural
and creative process.
